Publishers and manufacturers will be on stage, announcing their top new additions for
2006, and will include DC Comics’ Bob Wayne (VP – Sales) and Stephanie Fierman
(Senior VP – Sales & Marketing) plus many special guests.
In addition to a range of promotional items and point of sale merchandise from attending
publishers, retailers will also receive a free copy of DC’s All Star Batman & Robin #1 pencil
cover variant, currently only available through auction sites for over $200.
The Diamond UK Retailer Day will start with a 12.00 – 1.00pm buffet lunch before the
presentations commence and is anticipated concluding around 5.00pm.
PUBLISHER DEALS
2 "RRP" EDITIONS OFFERED TO RETAILERS AT DCD SEMINAR.
Markosia is pleased to announce that any retailer visiting the Comic Expo trade day on
Friday 18th November will receive two very limited editions of Midnight Kiss #1 and Abiding
Perdition #1. These editions only have a very limited print run of around 200 copies each
and will come with exclusive covers by Ryan Stegman and Humberto Ramos. Only 20
Copies of each book will be available from the Markosia booth and will be GIVEN FREE to
any consumer spending £50 or more.
SMALL PRESS
An opportunity for small press presentations to the retail trade is currently being planned to
follow.
FRIDAY LAUNCH PARTY
The bar will then be opened and Expo guests and early bird arrivals can join the throng for
the official launch party from 7.00pm on.
